Steven Taylor

My Story

Steven is originally from Alabama, and is certain his blood will always have traces of barbeque sauce in it. His first missions experience was in Kenya, East Africa, and it gave him a heart for helping believers grow through God's Word.

During his years of seminary in Dallas, Steven began working with Asian American churches, serving as youth pastor, college pastor, education pastor, and English ministries pastor. Eventually, he was the leader of a group that started Living Word Bible Fellowship, the first non-denominational English-primary Asian church in Texas.

After 15 years in Dallas, he returned to Alabama, where he served Ministry Administrator and Director of Caribbean Ministry for GlobeWorks International. Six years later, Steven and his family moved to Japan to begin serving with TEAM.

Family:

Married to Kyehee Taylor

Ministry Focus:

Working to share the love and hope found in Jesus Christ with the Japanese people. Teaching God's Word through preaching, leading small groups, and individual counseling. Helping to lay a strong foundation and train leaders for the Japanese church.

"Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples." --Psalm 96

The People:

We work with all ages and kinds of people, but especially those who are hurting, have lost hope, who feel they are forgotten. There are many like this in Japan.

Primary Prayer Request:

That the Japanese people might hear God's Word, and understand there is a true God who loves them and wants them to turn to Him.
