I was raised as a TEAM MK in the Rep. of South Africa until the age of 15 yrs, at which time we came to the US for Dad to work in the Headquarters of the mission. I finished HS in Wheaton, IL and then attended nurses' training. I then went on to complete a BA in History and Secondary Education at Wheaton College. I served for 5 months as a short-termer with TEAM in Zimbabwe-Rhodesia while I was still in college and during that time of service, God confirmed His call on my life which I had answered during a Youth Rally when I was 14 yrs of age. Due to this confirmation, after graduation from college, I went on to study and receive my MA in English Bible and Missions from Columbia International University.
I met my husband, Ray Williams, during that time of study and we were married in 1978 , had our first daughter in 1982, graduated from Seminary in 1983 and went to serve God in church planting in Zimbabwe in 1984. Our 2 other daughters were born into our family in Zimbabwe. After 7 years in a variety of ministries (church planting and administrative) our visa was denied.
The Lord then led us to minister in administration and church ministries in the United Arab Emirates. We served in various capacities for 6 years and then God opened up a new opportunity to be more directly church focused in the ministry in Australia.
We have now been serving God in many different ways here in Australia for the past 12 years. We have served in church planting, speaking, and preaching and are seeking to build up the church in Australia and to help them catch the vision for church planting. I have also had the opportunity to begin to lecture in the area of Women's Ministry at the Adelaide College of Ministries and in the past couple of years have been working to develop a Women's Ministry Stream.
For the past year or so, I have been serving as the Women's Pastor at Edwardstown Baptist Church with the goal of helping to build up the Women's Ministry and see the women mature and move forward in their walk and service for God.
God has opened up many opportunities for me to teach, speak at churches, camps and seminars and to mentor and train women and youth to grow and mature in their walk with God.

Australia is a post-Christian society. If they have a spiritual interest, and those of the younger generation do, they are looking beyond Christianity to other religions and philosophies. The Feminist Movement has had a strong impact on the Australian culture and Christian women are trying to discern what their role in serving God is and can be, without giving in to the pressure of the culture around them.
Primary Prayer Request:
That I would have God's wisdom and discernment so that I am able to mentor and build up the women of the church, as well as the women who are studying at the Bible College - to become all that God intends for them to be.
