For the past 14 years I have been a Physical Education teacher in the public school system in Southern California from the grades of middle school through high school. I have also coached girls soccer varying from middle school, high school, and junior college. Well, in March of 2014 God laid on my heart to become missionary! I debated slightly but ultimately told Him yes! I told God if what He was laying on my heart was true, it had to become clearly evident, but I would be willing to follow. Through much prayer and various levels of confirmation, the Lord has led me to Chad, Africa where I will be doing Sports and Recreation Ministry for teens and young adults.
Working with teenagers and young adults from Coll?ge Evang?lique, a Christian high school that has an enrollment of half Muslim and half non-Muslim students. Create sports programs and after school activities to build relationships, be an adult that loves them the way Jesus desires them to be loved, and impact them spiritually through bible studies.
Nearly two-thirds of people in Chad live below the poverty line and remains among the poorest in the world.
A multi-ethnic society, primarily French speaking, there are also over 130 languages and ethnic groups.?
Though predominantly Muslim (50%), 20% of the population follow the Catholic religion, 15% protestant, 12% animist and 3% atheist.
Primary Prayer Request:
