My Story

I am a Third Culture Kid from Cairo, Egypt, where I was born and raised. My father worked with an NGO called CARE and my mother is an elementary librarian at international schools, both of which kept us overseas until I came to the US in 2011 to attend Wheaton College. I graduated in 2015 with a degree in Interpersonal Communications and a concentration in Adventure Ministry.

During the 13-day backpacking trip in northern Wisconsin that was my freshman orientation I had a life changing encounter with God in the wilderness and I have been deeply in love with adventure ministry every since. I have worked as a camp counselor, white-water kayak instructor, wilderness guide, and most recently as assistant program director for a wilderness immersion semester at Gordon College (Wenham, MA). Because encountering God in the outdoors was an essential vessel for me to be transformed by the gospel, I have personal faith in the power of adventure experiences to create space for people to encounter God and be changed by him forever. I know that I have been called to further the Kingdom of God in this way and I am so excited for the opportunity to do so as a part of the ministry of Rancho El Camino in La Paz, Mexico.

Ministry Focus:

As of October 2016 I will be working as an adventure program developer for Rancho El Camino. I will help facilitate outdoor, adventure experiences that create space for powerful team, leadership, and spiritual development. All aspects of Rancho El Camino's ministry work to further the local Mexican church in their effort to bring the holistic, redemptive work of Jesus Christ to individuals, families, and the community.

Primary Prayer Request:

Would you please pray that the Lord would continue to equip me with wisdom and creativity to point all to Christ and the power of his love through the challenge and beauty of outdoor experiences.
