My Story

I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and I recently received my Bachelor's of Education at Queen's University.

I remember sharing with my grade two class that I wanted to be a missionary when I grew up. Granted, my naive self thought that being a missionary simply meant I could travel and tell people about Jesus - why wouldn't I want that? Now I see how God planted that seed in me then and has since been nurturing that seed by sending me on various short term missions trips with my high school, one of which was in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Starting July 2016, I will be moving to Bangkok, Thailand to serve as a music teacher in Bangkok Christian International School. I never imagined that I would return to Thailand as a missionary, but clearly the Lord has different plans for me. I have many fears and doubts, but our gracious Father continually reminds me that he has given me gifts to do the work he has called me to. I am incredibly thankful for these gentle reminders and I am very excited to see how God will use me to demonstrate his love to my students and their families!

Ministry Focus:

I will be teaching music to students from kindergarten to grade 5. Music is not only a fun and engaging way to learn about the world; it is also a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about Jesus. What's more - the students can share songs about Jesus to their families so that they will hear about the gospel too!

Primary Prayer Request:

Please pray that I would have a humble and joyful heart as I serve my students, their families, and my fellow staff members at BCIS. Pray also that the students would be open to hearing and receiving the gospel so that they might grow into a generation that loves the Lord.
