Josh Urban

My Story

Josh grew up in the Wheaton area and got excited about ministry, seeing the gospel bear fruit in his parents' prison and homeless ministry. His educational journey took him from Wheaton Academy to Taylor University where he studied psychology (pre-med) and played collegiate soccer. A desire to be involved in missions was fed by a mentor at Taylor and grew to a commitment to short-term cross-cultural missions at Urbana15.

After working with international students as an RA at the YMCA of the Rockies in Colorado, Josh headed to Thailand for 9 months. In the Buddhist land of smiles, he worked with TEAM missionaries at the Neighborhub doing student ministry at Thai universities and learning about cross-cultural church planting. Josh also coached soccer and substitute-taught MKs at Grace International School in Chiang Mai. He is excited to work in the Personnel Group and HR Department at TEAM to serve the local church as they send missionaries from everywhere to everywhere.
