My Story

I grew up in a home of seven children. My parents taught me about Jesus, and I committed my life to Him as a young child. I married my high school sweetheart, Paul, and we decided to serve God together in ministry. Paul taught music at Bible colleges for 30 years. During this time we raised our three children and were also involved in music in the church. When we moved to Kansas City, for Paul to teach at Calvary Bible College, God moved me along into children's ministry and then into teaching English as a Second Language. It was through this ministry that God gave us a love for the people of Mexico, and eventually He called us to GO to Mexico. Now we're here and loving where God has sent us. Our call is to help the people by teaching English and music, and to love the people through hospitality, friendship, and studying the Bible. Our desire is that they discover the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ through scripture.

Family:

Paul (husband), three married children and 5 grandchildren

Ministry Focus:

My ministry focus is teaching, hospitality, mentoring, growing friendships with people, telling people about Jesus and the Bible, discipleship, and helping followers of Jesus form small, reproducing home groups.

The People:

My husband and I live and serve in a middle to middle-upper class neighborhood in Guadalajara. Our neighbors and friends are educated, successful, professionals with families. They have unique needs and issues in their lives and families. The people are very warm, friendly, helpful and family-centered. My desire is to reach out and help the people in this socioeconomic group and to show them a genuine solution for their problems & a true purpose for their lives.

Primary Prayer Request:

My husband and I have made and continue to make friends in our neighborhood through various means. Pray that God will allow us to show our love for them, to help meet their needs, and to introduce them to the Bible and a life-changing relationship with Jesus.
