David "Andy" Anderson
My parents were TEAM missionaries in Venezuela, and in that context I placed my trust in Christ as Savior when I was a child. I spent nine years studying at Christiansen Academy, TEAM's school for MKs in that country. During that time I grew in my love for God and for music, so after graduation I went to Moody Bible Institute to major in sacred music. After going on to get my degree in music education, the Lord called me back to Venezuela in 1986 to teach at my alma mater. There I met (and subsequently married) Ruth Gotaas, another teacher who shared my passion for educating and discipling MKs. When Christiansen closed for good in 2001, the Lord led us to teach at the Evangelical Christian Academy near Madrid, Spain, and we've been ministering there ever since.

Our primary ministry focus is to educate missionaries' children so that 1) they may become committed followers of Jesus, and that 2) their parents may be freed up to do the ministry to which God has called them. Our school, ECA, has recently begun to admit more Spanish students, a move which is creating great witnessing opportunities to them as well as to their families.
Primary Prayer Request:
Pray that our words and actions before our students and our Spanish neighbors would always point to the Savior. Spaniards in particular need to see the reality of true Christianity lived out before they are likely to accept the claims of Christ.
