Job Opening - Digital Communications Coordinator
OVERVIEW
The primary purpose of this role is to support and assist the execution of TEAM’s marketing and communication strategies through the management of TEAM’s digital media channels, connecting digital media audience to the heart, vision, and purpose of TEAM. This is a full-time position located in Maryville, TN.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the development and execution of TEAM’s social media strategy through internal TEAM engagement, competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, advertising and audience identification
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action and stay engaged
- Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of activity on TEAM’s social media channels
- Assist with the monitoring and maintenance TEAM’s blog; including but limited to intentional development, research, scheduling posts and writing as needed.
- Review, rewrite and edit material for publishing on online channels
- Continuously improve TEAM’s digital content by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
- Assist with the development and deployment of TEAM’s email marketing strategy
- Organize, prepare and deploy survey campaigns; compile and report results as requested
- Plan, write and execute inbound marketing strategies, including HubSpot content, as needed
- Conduct social listening and industry/market research and report on what other organizations in the missions community are doing and major world events/news that impact the community or mission
KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge and experience with social management programs, email campaign service providers, and survey programs
- Experience managing a Word Press blog
- Experience in creative writing, editing, and proofing
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research, gather and analyze data, understand business requirements and make recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize own workload to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and promote new ways of doing things
- Proven ability to work well in a team/collaborative setting
- Previous experience in marketing, communications, advertising or journalism
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field
