Job Opening - Donor Relations Coordinator

OVERVIEW

The Donor Relations Coordinator works with the Donor Relations group to build and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with donors through various direct response strategies, operating a telephone call center, providing donor stewardship, and maintaining an accurate donor database and data management system.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under supervision, learn to answer inbound customer service calls and make outbound calls, to current and potential donors in response to all media presentations and TEAM products and services
  • Answer incoming calls using utilizing a standard script for guidance
  • Recognize and respond to upgrade opportunities and actively promote other TEAM programs when appropriate
  • Through training and active participation, gain the skills necessary to assess callers' needs and input information accurately and efficiently using data entry and ten-key skills
  • Achieve and maintain an acceptable level of individual statistics to accomplish Call Center business goals
  • Utilize email and regular mail to enhance donor communication as appropriate
  • Develop skills to utilize technology for maintaining and updating donor information as appropriate
  • Accepts constructive feedback and welcomes instruction and direction
  • Under supervision, research and effectively respond to inquiries utilizing a variety of resource materials and methods
  • Learn and effectively communicate TEAM's involvement in ministries and projects around the world
  • Work collaboratively with team members
  • Be sensitive to donor's needs and pray with them when appropriate
  • Attend and participate in staff devotional and chapel services
  • Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the TEAM corporate communication tools

KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate/GED or equivalent
  • Basic routine work experience
  • Prior work experience with outbound calls, is a plus
  • Prefer a minimum of one year of previous customer service/sales work experience
  • Skilled at using all MS Office applications is desired
  • Experience in nonprofit organizations and fund development is a plus
  • Candidate required to have spoken and written fluency in English; other languages such as Spanish, Korean, Mandarin and/or Cantonese are strongly encouraged to apply
