Job Opening - Graphic Designer


Overview/Purpose of Job 

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts to meet TEAM’s marketing objectives, advancing the voice of the organization. Working closely with the Marketing Team, the Graphic Designer will work to combine creativity, thought leadership and vision, while communicating TEAM’s message through various print and online mediums. This is a full-time job located in Maryville, TN.

Primary Responsibilities

The Graphic Designer is responsible to actively participate and contribute to the deliverables required of the marketing team; understand TEAM’s current needs; pursue solid, creative, and
quality solutions; and take ownership of the individual pieces and campaigns that represent the organization. The Graphic Designer will also design intriguing print and digital materials and create solid multi-page layouts.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Three to five years experience in a creative role such as Graphic Design or Creative Direction/Art Direction
  • Experience and skills with photography, creative writing and story ideation
  • Education, experience and/or training directly related to Graphic Design and creative technology including print, web, and other digital applications
  • Able to work collaboratively with a creative team to establish creative direction for the entire line of print and electronic materials and for new projects
  • Able to develop marketing materials (brochures, flyers, direct mail, etc.) and design concepts that meet the objectives of TEAM and that advance TEAM’s brand
  • Possess project management skills to concurrently manage multiple projects from concept through completion
  • Able to provide quality control over concepts and projects, with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work well in a team/collaborative setting
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • A teachable attitude and the ability to openly receive and respond to input and critique on work
  • Demonstrate exceptional ability in using the latest Adobe Creative Cloud and Google G-Suite
  • Previous experience with non-profit and/or global missions is a plus
