Job Opening: Mobilization Manager



TEAM’s Mobilization Manager is responsible to lead, manage and develop a team of missions coaches who are located within a geographic region in North America and to recruit individuals to TEAM through its mobilization process. 

This is a multi-faceted position that calls for a combination of people and leadership skills.  The mobilization manager will contribute to the purpose of TEAM by bringing about increased commitment to and involvement with missions generally and TEAM in particular. This will be done by:

  • Casting a compelling missions vision for those presently unengaged in missions
  • Training and mentoring new missions coaches to be effective in missionary recruitment
  • Coaching those presently moving towards missionary service
  • Assessing and interviewing missionary candidates
  • Resourcing the local church in their efforts to mobilize their own people towards missionary service
  • Effectively managing, mentoring and leading a team
  • Strategic planning and vision casting
  • Excellence in administration and developing team members towards their full potential



This position has shared responsibilities as a missions coach and manager.  

Missions Coach Responsibilities:

  • Recruit new missionaries from resource pools such as campuses, churches, missions-focused groups and other venues
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to inquiries
  • Actively maintain relationships with potential missionaries
  • Wisely coach inquirers as they seek and obey God’s direction
  • Work with potential missionaries to identify appropriate opportunities within TEAM
  • Work with ministry area missionaries to coach inquirers toward appropriate opportunities
  • Interview and assess missionary candidates
  • Record activities and interaction with contacts according to established mobilization procedures
  • Engage churches towards healthy missionary sending using TEAM resources and Explore facilitation materials
  • Assist in local TEAM events when they relate to Mobilization

Management Responsibilities:

  • Implement mobilization strategy in collaboration with Senior Manager of Mobilization Teams. This includes Holding team members accountable for agreed upon activities and results, facilitating and leading weekly team meetings and providing timely and accurate reports of goals, activities and achievements.
  • Coach team members towards effective recruitment, assist in reviewing assessments and support team members in following up with leads
  • Support team members towards effective church engagement in their local area
  • Ensure team grows in their knowledge and understanding of TEAM. This includes becoming familiar with its culture, ministry areas and practices.
  • Stay informed of ministry opportunities within TEAM
  • Assist in other projects or responsibilities as designated by supervisor


The successful mobilization manager will:

  • Have completed the minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Bible, missions or a related field
  • Have past experience in leading groups of people towards a common goal
  • Have experience in college/business recruitment and/or missions mobilization
  • Communicate effectively in writing, by phone and video conferencing
  • Be comfortable interacting with pastors, church staff and other influencers
  • Function well both independently and in a team environment
  • Have the ability to keep a team accountable to individual and group goals
  • Effectively manage a heavy email load and facilitate video conference meetings
  • Keep accurate records of contacts within a CRM system
  • Have experience in interviewing, assessments and application tracking systems
  • Internationals and/or missions experienced preferred
