David Weaver

David responded to Christ's call on his life for missions when he was a teen. He met his wife, Joy, in Bible college, joined TEAM and arrived in the Philippines in 1991, where they have helped to start new churches, hosted short term missionaries and taught Filipino church planters through the Church Planting Institute. Currently, David divides his time between ministry in the Philippines and his role as a missions mobilizer for TEAM in Birmingham, Alabama. David counts writing poetry, watching Alabama football, and eating Joy's pecan pie as his favorite hobbies.

Today on the blog, TEAM missionary David Weaver shares a page from his poetry collection with us. David and his wife, Joy, have served with TEAM in the Philippines since 1991, where they launched the Church Planting Institute (CPI) to equip Filipino believers for church planting in Asia.
