Charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world will come together tomorrow for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back (source: GivingTuesday.org).

GivingTuesday, now in its third year, is redefining what it means to give during the holiday season. On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (December 2, 2014), there will be a worldwide celebration of giving back as people across the globe give to charities, ministries and organizations. You can be a part of this movement by donating to the Wish List – our annual gift catalog that features ministries and programs with specific needs in the field, submitted by TEAM missionaries.

Your gift can help plant a tree in Mozambique, supply softballs for a sports camp in Germany or provide light bulbs for a remote medical clinic in Nepal. There are needs of all sizes, and a donation of any amount will make a difference in someone’s life and meet a very real need.

Want to be a part of GivingTuesday? Support a project at wishlist.team.org, then share about it on social media! Use #GivingTuesday on Facebook and Twitter to get involved in the global movement. Even if you don’t use social media, you can still donate and make a difference.

The holidays are about both giving and giving back; let’s come together this year to make a difference by putting philanthropy back into the giving season.
