Returning Member Candidate

Doug Snyder

Doug received Jesus as Lord and Savior at the age of 22, and shortly afterwards enrolled at Judson college in Elgin, IL. Hungry for more Bible teaching, he transferred to Prairie Bible Institute in Canada in 1967 and was soon married to Laura Sanders. Together, Doug and Laura feasted on Bible and missions for four years.

Feeling called to work among Muslims, Doug started working with TEAM in Pakistan in the summer of 1972. He spent time in language learning, equipping bookmobiles, radio ministry, and field leadership. Moving to Kabul, Afghanistan in late 2011, Doug participated in teaching English as well as serving as team leader and school principal.

In 2008, Doug returned to the U.S. and settled in Montana, where he helped TEAM’s mobilization department connect with colleges in the Northwest. Since retiring from TEAM in 2011, he has taught missions in his local church, built houses with Habitat for Humanity, and served on the boards of both Habitat for Humanity and Hamilton Christian Academy. Doug has continued his studies with coursework from Michigan State, William Tyndale, Wheaton, Moody, and The Great Courses.
