10th district – Skalka Church

The Skalka neigborhood in the 10th district of Prague is a densely-populated area of high-rise apartment complexes, home to 22,000 people and with no other established Christian witness except for CB Skalka. Just steps from the Skalka subway station is the CB Skalka church plant, the focus of our church planting efforts since 2006, and the spiritual home of a growing community of new Czech believers.

10th district – Skalka Church

Vision: The Skalka church is a diverse and growing community of believers whose mission is to draw closer to God and to people through evangelism, discipleship, and worship. This work began in 2006 as an outreach to the Skalka neighborhood in the 10th district of Prague, a densely-populated area of high-rise apartment buildings, with no other established Christian witness. In 2012, we began to work together with ethnic Mongolian believers in Prague, providing space for their Sunday worship services, outreach events and prayer meetings, along with encouragement and mentoring and eventually membership in the church.

Activities: Christianity Explored, Alpha, mothers’ club, craft evenings, youth group, English and Bible classes, English Camps, Seniors’ Club, discipleship triads and Bible studies, community-based outreach.

Also under Skalka church is the Mongolian Church in Prague
Vision: Also known as Full Love Mongolian Christian Church in Prague, this small but vibrant fellowship meets every Sunday afternoon at the Skalka church location. There are about 5,400 Mongolians living, working, and studying in the Czech Republic – an unreached people group mainly from a Buddhist, Shamanist or secular world view. The Mongolian church in Prague desires to reach out to them through starting small groups in Prague and in other Czech cities, where Mongolians can hear and respond to the gospel, belong to a family of believers, and be discipled and grow in their faith.
Activites: worship and fellowship, friendship evangelism, Bible studies, prayer meetings, meeting practical needs, reaching out to Mongolian communities in other Czech cities.
