Business as Mission

Latino immigrants in the United States, whether they’re legal or not, often face immigration status issues, struggle to find good work to provide for their families, and strive to fit into American culture as they miss the family and traditions they left behind.

The heart felt need of everyone is to belong, to be part of something bigger than themselves. TEAM, through churches that serve their communities among immigrant populations in the urban centers of America, helps meet the needs of those looking for something better. We help them find belonging by inviting them to be and build the body of Christ. We want to minister to the large Latino population in Hispanic Chicago neighborhoods such as La Villita (Little Village). We have established a partnership with the Nueva Vida Church and believe that a business-as-missions approach could be a good avenue for ministry. We would like to start businesses in the Hispanic neighborhoods of Chicago with the purpose of creating jobs and supporting the community. For more information about how to serve, see our opportunity listing.
