Faith Academy, an international Christian school with a focus on the children of missionaries working in Asia, is committed to equipping students to be Christ-like, life-long learners by providing a dynamic, relevant education. The school aims to provide quality Christian education using English as the language of instruction. Because the teachers at Faith Academy are supported missionaries, the school is able to offer this excellent education to the children of missionaries and full-time Christian workers at a very reduced cost. It began in 1957 with only 47 students and six teachers, but since then, God has used Faith Academy to impact hundreds of missionary families, thousands of missionary kids, and countless other people who have received the love of Christ as a result of the work of those missionary families.
Faith Academy’s campus is located just outside of Metro Manila, Philippines. Currently, there are about 500 total students enrolled in classes across all grades. The school has been blessed with excellent facilities and incredible programs. The student body is a diverse group from a variety of family backgrounds- missionaries from many nations, business expats, and local Filipino families. But the impact of the school comes from the missionary teachers.
Many opportunities exist for teachers and support staff to reach out to the children in Southeast Asia at Faith Academy. You could become an integral part of a tight knit community, with small class sizes and the chance to disciple and mentor your students. The school always needs dedicated teachers who are eager to contribute to the academic, social, and spiritual development of all of our TCKs (Third Culture Kids), and who are willing to serve as missionaries so that families can serve on this field long-term.
TEAM has had a healthy relationship with Faith Academy for many years, and quite a few TEAM missionary kids have spent their formative years as students at the school. TEAM continues to assist Faith Academy in recruiting excellent teachers to serve the cause of Christ in Asia by teaching at the school.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside other gifted expatriate and local Christian teachers. Teachers will also be given opportunities to grow and develop professionally through the staff development program. Both in and outside the classroom, you could play a vital role in the coming of God’s kingdom in Southeast Asia.
