Japanese Christian Fellowship Network (JCFN) Partnership

Vision
To help Japanese returnees grow strong in their faith, find their place in a church in Japan and contribute to the ministry of the local Japanese church.
Missionary
Roberta Peabody
Location
Tokyo
Target Group
Japanese are 70% more open to the gospel when they are overseas, however 80% of returnees saved overseas fall away from the church within two years of their return to Japan. Significant evangelism opportunities are being undermined by the fact that Japanese who become Christians overseas struggle to find their place in the church in Japan.
Activities
Associated with JCFN (Japanese Christian Fellowship Network), we network with, encourage and build connections with returnee Japanese Christians and Christian international students who seek to be a witness for Christ through:
- meeting with Japanese returnees when they first arrive back in Japan.
- linking them to a returnee friendly church in their area.
- discipleship.
- small group ministries.
- networking with Japanese pastors to identify returnee friendly churches.
- encouraging returnees to link into rural churches (if they have rural hometowns), and teach them how to support the Japanese church.
