Local Church Development

?We have access to a number of opportunities to come alongside existing local churches to assist them in the development of various ministries as well as continuing to disciple future leaders. One example is the relationship with Edwardstown Baptist Church where Marti Williams fills a role in developing a women;s ministry in the church. The vision for that ministry is to assist in the formulation of an effective philosophy of ministry for women in the church and to see gifted women trained and empowered to carry out that ministry.
Vision:
To work with existing churches to help sharpen their vision, increase their impact and enhance their effectiveness through evangelism, discipling and leadership development.
Strategy:
Many churches in Australia would welcome a boost from a North American willing to come out and learn from Australians how ministry is done “down under” and then be a part of moving that ministry forward. There are avenues of ministry engaging in youth work, evangelism and discipleship as well as areas not always less traditional possibilities. Social welfare and justice issues are in great need of urgent attention. Community groups and government agencies are eager to work in partnership with church groups where the goals and purposes coincide. How creative could you be?
