Ministry Area Support
In addition to the TEAM Japan Office team, we have others supporting our missionaries:
Flossie Epley, MK Education Advisor
Jim Nielsen, Ministry Area Leader
Eileen Nielsen, Member Care Facililator
Jeff Pagaragan, Assistant Property Manager
Sandra Parsons, Furnishings Coordinator
We enjoy being able to use our administrative gifts to provide support, member care and practical services for each of the TEAM Japan missionaries so they can spend time doing the evangelism, discipleship, church planting and other ministries they were called to Japan to do. As such, we see ourselves as an integral part of all the church plants and other ministries which involve our missionaries.
Our desire is to care for the needs of our missionaries by assisting them in areas such as visas, taxes, budgeting, IT, finance, housing, emergency services as well as general administration and communications, thus eliminating as much stress and pressure as possible while living in a foreign country. We also oversee the placement of short-term and mid-term missionaries, standing alongside the ministries receiving this invaluable boost of energy and support.
We support around 70 long and mid-term missionaries spread throughout Japan, with many short-termers coming in and out as well. This support starts from the beginning stages of the application process, continuing to on-boarding when new missionaries arrive on the field. Then as our missionaries go through different stages of life and ministry, we are there to help them right through to the end of their service in Japan.
It is a real joy for us to be able to do what God has gifted us to do so that we can enable the ministry of Christ here in Japan to see people’s lives transformed.
