Zarephath Bible Seminary

Training Christ-like servant leaders
Our History: Zarephath Bible Seminary (ZBS) was started in 1982 by seven evangelical groups in response to the great shortage of trained Pakistani Christian workers. In 1998 the school moved from Attock City to the present location in Rawalpindi in order to provide evening classes for Christians in this area. In 1999 the Lord enabled ZBS to purchase 7½ acres of land on the outskirts of Rawalpindi for future development. While ZBS still operates in Rawalpindi, a residential building has been built on the new site. Classrooms and other facilities will be built as the Lord provides the needed funds.
Our purpose statement is: to train students to become Christ-like servant leaders through coming to know the indwelling, risen Lord Jesus Christ more deeply and personally.
Our vision statement: Such leaders will own the vision to serve God according to their varied gifts and build the Kingdom of God in Biblical and culturally relevant ways in Pakistan and beyond.
Our uniqueness: We are an evangelical, inter-denominational Bible school which is known for requiring our students to engage in practical experience through weekly and summer field service (25% of the student’s time) in order to augment our quality classroom training.
Our programs:

The undergraduate programs are accredited through Asian Theological Associate (ATA). In 2009 we started the Master of Divinity (an English medium program). Since moving to Rawalpindi, ZBS has been offering evening classes to Christians in the area. The present student body in all programs is about 70-80. Since the beginning of ZBS, 95% of its graduates are in Christian ministry.
Our faculty and staff: Our faculty is under the leadership of a Pakistani principal and consists of men and women Pakistani professors, regular expatriate professors and guest lecturers with masters and doctorate degrees. The administration of the school is run by qualified Pakistani staff.
