Job Opening-Constituent Services Specialist

OVERVIEW:

The Constituent Services Specialist serves TEAM with professional and efficient client-facing interactions via a variety of communication channels. This person will have mid-level knowledge of several department processes and be able to address basic constituent needs related primarily to using information technology, marketing, mobilization, and donor relations. This person is responsible to build and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with donors, current missionaries, and missionary inquiries through operating a telephone call center, supporting the processing of mailed correspondence and maintaining an accurate donor and missionary database.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under supervision, learn to answer inbound customer service calls and make outbound calls, to current or potential TEAM constituents including donors, missionaries, retirees, and churches related to media presentations, marketing and TEAM products and services
  • Answer live incoming calls utilizing a standard script for guidance and route callers appropriately throughout the organization
  • Maintain the mail for all correspondence to and from the Grapevine, Texas TEAM address
  • Recognize and escalate opportunities and actively promote TEAM’s global ministries and projects when appropriate
  • Through training and active participation, gain the skills necessary to assess callers' needs and input information accurately and efficiently using data entry and ten-key skills
  • Learn to use our custom Salesforce database and maintain constituent data quality
  • Serve as an agent in TEAM’s online customer service Zendesk tool 
  • Utilize email and regular mail to enhance inter-department communication as appropriate
  • Accept constructive feedback and welcomes instruction and direction while engaging new tech tools and skills
  • Under supervision, research and effectively respond to inquiries utilizing a variety of resource materials and methods
  • Work collaboratively with team members in your office and TEAM’s workers around the world
  • Be culturally sensitive to constituents of different age groups, language backgrounds, and socio-economic segments
  • Be sensitive to donor and missionary needs and pray with them when appropriate
  • Attend and participate in staff devotional and chapel services when available
  • Keep informed of organizational announcements via email or webcast, activities and changes, and invest time and attention into developing interpersonal skills

KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate/GED or equivalent
  • Basic routine work experience in a business or church office environment
  • Prior work experience with call centers or inbound/outbound calls, is a plus
  • Prefer a minimum of one year of previous customer service or sales work experience 
  • Skilled at using all MS Office applications and experience using G-Suite [Google Docs, Sheets, GMail, Forms, and Google Drive cloud storage and filing]
  • Type 75 WPM minimum with a 90% accuracy rate
  • Experience in nonprofit organizations and development or advancement is a plus
  • Candidate required to have spoken and written fluency in English; other languages such as Spanish, Korean, Mandarin or Cantonese are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Some international travel or cross-cultural/urban experience strongly encouraged
