Explore workshops were created to mobilize believers to be part of the Great Commission — at home and abroad. With each workshop, we have three goals in mind:
- Serve the local church with inspiration and information to raise up missional believers.
- Give people a place to discern their calling to participate in global missions and connect to a community of kindred spirits.
- Provide practical guidance for next steps, once individuals have decided to pursue significant involvement in missions.
The Explore program has two tiers to help a variety of churches. Each tier has six modules and can be done as an intensive or over the course of several weeks in a small group or Sunday School classroom.
Becoming a Global Christian
Explore’s first tier is designed to grow Christ-followers’ awareness of God’s global mission. These lessons engage the heart as well as the mind. People will be drawn into an experience with God’s Word, introduced to current global missions information and invited to take simple action steps. The sessions include short videos and real-life stories.
Discerning Your Calling
Explore’s second tier is designed for people who have already discovered God’s desire to bring the world to Himself. They may already be engaged in some type of ministry, or they may have only taken the first steps of involvement. They want the chance to spend focused time thinking about how God may be directing their lives for service. Participants will complete two assessments: one related to intercultural service and the other to discern their primary ministry roles.
