Post-Christian/Post-Modern
In most developed countries, youth — and many adults — increasingly see the world with skeptical eyes that question prevailing notions of truth, authority, and cultural values. Postmodernism is a broadly used term, but at the very least it has implications for how the gospel is understood and how it must be lived out and communicated.
TEAM workers believe that Jesus loves skeptics and is big enough to handle their doubts. We’ve served for decades in post-Christian cities and countries that are becoming, in many ways, the least-reached people groups of the 21st century. In Europe, Asia and Australia, we are united by a passion to build long-lasting relationships and care for our neighbors in ways that will draw them closer to a transforming knowledge of Christ. Click below to explore our current opportunities for service in postmodern contexts. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, share your ideas with us. We want the message of Jesus Christ to go forth in new ways and would love to help you start your missionary journey.
