Around the world, roughly 180,000 people pour from the countryside into urban areas each day. While fewer than a third of humans lived in cities in 1950, today more than half of the world’s population does.
This dramatic and accelerating shift is rapidly changing cultures and entire nations, solving old problems and creating massive new ones. Cities are a special opportunity for the gospel. Urban churches have the world at their doorstep like never before, and TEAM works with churches in some of the most urbanized places in the world.
