Sports Ministries

Whatever they think of the Gospel, most people have an outdoor activity they love — hiking, soccer, kayaking or even just talking with friends around a campfire. That’s why sports and recreation ministries open so many doors. As a missionary, you get to invite people to do something you both already enjoy. And in that casual environment, it’s easy to build natural relationships that lead to Gospel conversations. From summer camps to pro sports teams, there is a world of possibilities in sports and recreation ministry! 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Deep desire to cultivate discipleship relationships through sports 
  • Experience playing or coaching a particular sport 
  • Exhibits patience and flexibility in working with and teaching others 
  • Finds joy in creatively utilizing sports to reach unbelievers 
  • Willing to work on a culturally diverse team
