The Program Developer will have experience and a passion in areas of abuse recovery and rehabilitation and serve in a women’s shelter an hour outside of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The vision of this shelter is to serve women and children by teaching them marketable skills to start a new life for themselves. This role may work directly with the existing shelter as well as extending the ministry’s reach within Puerto Vallarta. Join this work to provide education to families on appropriate and healthy behaviors and family dynamics. The developer will help offer classes (English, marketable skills, Bible) for women and their children, offer abuse recovery classes, educate families on appropriate behavior and family dynamics, offer ministry to abusers, and will connect with social services to offer programs or workshops in villages, schools, and neighborhoods. The duration of this opportunity ranges from one month to three years or more.
- Experience in abuse counseling and/or biblical counseling
- Formal education in counseling and psychology preferred
- High level of emotional stability
