Description

Reconciliamar uses adventures at sea to transform lives in La Paz, Mexico. One of our principal activities involves taking local folks to sea to help them gain an appreciation for and thus a desire to protect their ocean environment. While legal protection of the environment is necessary, as are the scientific and educational components, Reconciliamar offers the essential third component to creation care: the spiritual element. We work to help transform people’s lives via the good news of Jesus. As their lives are changed, people will be able to understand why it is important to do creation care, rather than just knowing the what and how of caring for the environment.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the calendar, guest sign-ups, and equipment maintenance records. This person will work closely with the Director of Operations in order to maintain a smooth flow of operations. This person will also handle correspondence and keep track of government requirements. The assistant will participate in diving or kayaking activities on a regular basis, and be active in observable disciple-making ministry in a fellowship of Jesus followers. The duration of this role ranges from 6 months to 3 years or more in La Paz, Mexico.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree preferred, but not required
  • Administrative and organizational skills
  • Self-starter and flexible
  • Relational, good communicator, have ability to work with government institutions
  • Passion for and knowledge of creation care
