Description
Shalom is a church and humanitarian ministry in Tijuana, Mexico. The humanitarian program provides food for children. Other types of ministry include women’s ministry, construction projects, children’s ministry, VBS-type activities, outreach to the local community, sports ministry, and much more.
The Administrative Coordinator will be involved in hosting short-term mission teams and will handle some of the administrative tasks associated with this. The coordinator will learn how to work with a church staff while also alleviating some of the duties of the executive director of the ministry who also serves as pastor of the church. There will be many opportunities to learn about Hispanic culture as Tijuana has a growing population of immigrants from outside of Mexico. The coordinator will be exposed to extreme poverty and the effects it has on families and communities. For more information click here to visit the Shalom website. Requirements
- Undergraduate degree
- Experience in short-term missions, church staff experience would also be considered
