Adult Education

Description:

The Adult Education Teacher will be responsible for developing ways to educate adults in a variety of fields, primarily those which are the expertise of this person. Bethania, where our community center is located, is often abandoned by men during the day, but all of the adult women stay back working. There are huge opportunities to teach them to read, write, learn English, and other trades. The teacher would also develop learning opportunities, connect with the community, and invite adult learners to the learning opportunities. They would evaluate the learning opportunities and adjust as needed. They would build relationships with adult learners with the goal of discipling them and helping them grow in their walk with Christ. The duration of this role is from 9 months to 3 years or more in Guatemala City.

Requirements:

• Must have an undergraduate
• Education experience preferred
• Team player
• Learner and a culturally astute self-starter
• Able to work in a flexible environment with little structure.
