Description
Starting a ministry to the arts community in Venice: to serve the Mestre church and the surrounding community; to build bridges through engaging their creative performing, technical, or visual arts to exalt God; to extend his kingdom among the nations. To our knowledge, there is not now, nor has there ever been, a significant gospel outreach to the creative arts community in Venice.
Requirements
Experienced and proficient in his/her field of the creative arts…Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ… Maintains a growing and healthy spiritual life…Servant’s heart, teachable, flexible, desire to learn, serve, and be challenged… Desire, and ability, to initiate relationships and engage with others, cultivate those relationships, introduce them to the Lord, and disciple them, and connect them with the local church…Self-starter but able to work with others and not a lone-ranger…Willing to be involved in the local church…The long term artist who works with Il Faro (our church) should be committed to Il Faro’s vision of developing a network of gospel communities on mission in the Mestre/Venice area; work closely with Il Faro church leaders; and develop and nurture relationships both inside and outside the church as the artist shares the love of Christ through his/her artistic gifts…Willing to learn Italian
