Description

Creative Arts is an excellent means to connect with local Thai artists in order to make friends and share the gospel. There are several venues to pursue people and art in Thailand, including engaging local schools and universities, community-based classes, and more! An artist will engage in local art classes offered by a local artist to build relationships and friendships with other creative types. This person will showcase biblical truths and stories through plain air painting in public areas using imagery that reflects God’s story for humanity. This person could offer art classes to local people, organize local art shows to champion local and visiting artists,  or pursue the opportunity to paint murals at local schools that convey the gospel or a biblical truth that is relevant and appropriate for the school. Build relationships and connections at local universities that might be open to some kind of art class or offer art tutoring at these institutions. The idea is to become part of the local artist scene by taking and giving, doing art with them in order to be an intentional witness through art and friendship. The Artist would be a past of a local community of Christ followers, and would endeavor to build a community of Christ followers among Thai artists. The Artist is willing to share his or her testimony with a stranger and is passionate about and gifted in sharing the gospel through art imagery. The duration of this role is 1 month to 2 years.

Requirements

• Team player, outgoing, encourager
• Gifted artist, clear understanding of how to glorify God in his or her art
• Enjoys teaching art, patient with students
• Strong desire to relationally share the Gospel with Thai people
