Assistant Pastor

Opportunity in Mexico

Description

An Assistant Pastor will work alongside a current TEAM missionary and pastor for the first year in San José del Cabo. The assistant will take turns giving sermons and teaching Bible studies. This pastor will help supervise the church, disciple men, and train leaders. The goal of this ministry is to eventually hire a national pastor when the church is capable of supporting one financially and when there are a few Mexican elders and deacons. The duration of this role is a minimum of 2 years.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of Biblical training
  • Pastoral experience
  • Experience in church planting is preferred
  • Further Theological training preferred, but not required
  • Cultural sensitivity, willingness to work under and with veteran missionaries and national leadership
