Campus Pastor
Opportunity in Southeast Asia
Description
A Christian college in Southeast Asia educates more than 2,000 Christians studying to be pastors and Christian leaders. This specific city is located in the heart of a Christianized community of believers in God, but many do not know they can have a personal, thriving relationship with God.
The Campus Pastor will mentor college staff, come alongside to disciple and encourage new believers in Christ, start Bible studies, and hopefully work with a national organization in discipleship teaching and curriculum development as well as encourage and train teams to reach out to area villages.
Responsibilities include building deep relationships with students and staff, encouraging them to know Jesus more deeply by modeling missional living and radical faith, and developing and empowering national leaders and missionaries. The long-term vision is to see the local church become true places of worship, with a heart and habit of missional outreach to other like-minded villages and to the surrounding unreached people groups. There are nearly 240 million unreached peoples in the surrounding areas. The duration of this role ranges from a minimum of 1 year to 3 years or more.
Requirements
- Strong Biblical foundation
- Outgoing, willing to be a self-starter in developing relationships with students and staff
- Ability to easily share their personal growth and relationship with Christ and encourage others to grow in their faith
- An engaging teaching style, encouraging a deeper, richer personal faith walk in their students rather than just Biblical facts
