Community Development Workers, Social Justice Focus

Opportunity in Czech Republic

Description

A Community Development Team Member will serve in a community that is focused on social justice. This person will contribute to a Christ-like response to human trafficking, homelessness, and outreach to refugees. In Prague, these problems are complex and international in scope. A background in NGO work, legal services, or social services could be used to make a difference. Expatriates and Czech believers with a heart for this ministry serve alongside one another, and much remains to be done for a coordinated response. Participants will contribute to a missional community (church plant) with their heart for a broken world, as well as their gifts, talents, and experience while learning culture, language, and discipleship principles in a post-Christian context. The duration of this role ranges from 2 months up to 3 years or more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Training and experience in work or ministry related to social justice
  • Self-starter mentality and capable of pursuing people and new opportunities
