Description

A Counselor and Mental Health Program Developer is a vital role to serve a community in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, that has a high rate of abuse, drug, and alcohol abuse and suicide. The developer will serve in settings such as Celebration Recovery, suicide prevention, and awareness programs and Mending the Soul groups. Additional avenues of serving the community could be premarital counseling and other family-based seminars. This person will work alongside a house church network and seek to bridge the gospel within the context of counseling and mental health. Though not currently developed, the long-term vision behind this role is to operate out of a local community center to have natural access to serving the community, The duration of this role ranges from two years or more.

Requirements

  • One year or more of training and experience in biblical counseling
  • Experience with Celebrate Recovery and/or Mending the Soul
