Discipleship in a Network of Home Churches

Opportunity in Mexico

Description

These team members will focus on discipleship in home churches, families or High School and University students in Guadalajara, Mexico. The vision of this ministry is to make disciples who form house churches that turn into house church networks with the vision to see Christ change the spiritual face and climate of this vital area in Mexico. Those focused on discipleship will be primarily working with middle-class people, many of whom wish to expand their ability to speak English. This person will also develop Spanish language ability as the role is involved in a variety of relationally-based connections and ministries, getting to know people on a more personal level, and developing confianza, a vital concept in Mexico which means “trust”. This implies a more personal openness. This ministry team is made up of Americans and Mexicans who meet together to share stories, talk about vision and strategy and seek the Lord together. The duration of this role is a minimum of three years.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree and Bible training
  • Two years of experience working in ministry, discipleship and relational evangelism
