Head of School

Description

The Head of School reports directly to the Faith Academy Board of Trustees and is responsible for directing all academic and administrative operations of the school. The Head of School functions as the Board of Trustees’ sole employee who is responsible for carrying out Faith Academy’s purpose and mission. The Head of School is directly responsible for:

  • Working with the trustees and stakeholders on the school’s strategic direction, campus infrastructure, and institutional advancement
  • Encouraging and facilitating spiritual development across all school departments
  • Establishing policies and program activities to create and maintain a school-wide standard of excellence
  • Recruiting, developing, and retaining a team of outstanding personnel who are committed to the mission, vision, and goals of Faith Academy, professional development, and lifelong learning
  • Ensuring the school provides a safe and secure environment for students and personnel

The duration of this role is a minimum of one year.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education, Education Administration or related field
  • Experience in school administration preferred
  • Classroom teaching experience, including teaching in an international setting
  • Success in implementing program changes and new initiatives
  • Competency in providing leadership within a multicultural environment
  • Excellence in oral and written communication
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of boarding school management preferred
  • Understanding of financial aspects of the school and related programs
