This person or couple will manage a small hotel (20-40 rooms) in Southeast Asia. This is a hands-on position, meaning the manager will be expected to be heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the hotel, especially in the early stages. A key trait is the ability to train and work with the local staff. An interest in developing a coffee shop and van taxi service as part of the hotel services is preferred. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity that needs to be developed. Hotel properties are currently being researched and evaluated. Another key trait is the ability to cultivate relationships with a broad spectrum of the business community during the start-up and launch phases.
This is an opportunity that is in the developing stages. We invite qualified people to join us on the “ground floor” of this project, beginning with identifying a suitable hotel property to buy or build. It is expected that the lead manager of this project would be on-site for at least 3-4 years.
A degree in hotel management with related experience preferred. Experience in hospitality and guest services in another culture is an advantage.
