Description
A hospital training center connected to a rural hospital in South Asia is running various types of Maternal and Child health care training. The training of this hospital aims to be values and skills-based, and training includes Diploma in Midwifery
(3-year) Education Program, Safe and clean delivery training, Normal Vaginal Delivery training, Complications of the Antenatal, Laboring and Postnatal Mother. The participants of this training are Doctors, Nurses, Medical Assistants, Health care providers, Village Health Volunteers, Community Facilitators from the local hospital, Outside Non-Government organizations, and individuals from Government organizations.
The Nursing or Midwifery Consultant is responsible for supervising and working with the Nursing Director and Nursing institute in overseeing Nursing or Midwifery Training and In-service Education. This individual will make sure quality nursing care is maintained through the nursing department staff. This role ranges from 9 months to 3+ years and provides the opportunity to partner with an international team of followers in one of the least-reached locations in South Asia.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Proper medical education and some nursing or midwifery experience are required for this position. Must have the passion to serve the poorest of the poor and a willingness to work in a low-tech environment. Ability to live in rural and unpredictable conditions required. Must be resilient and adaptable and able to work on a multi-cultural and multi-denominational team. Must be willing to engage in training local health workers as much or more than doing bedside care.
