Opportunity in South Asia

Description

A busy hospital in rural South Asia offers laboratory services to support its 150 inpatient beds and an average of 200+ outpatients daily. Basic hematology, biochemistry, immunohematology, serology, and microbiology services are offered. This hospital seeks a pathologist to support our trained national laboratory staff to offer a quality-assured laboratory service. This role ranges from 9 months up to 3+ years and provides the opportunity to partner with an international team of followers in one of the least reached locations in South Asia.

Requirements

Minimum Master’s degree required. One or two years pathology experience preferred. Must have the passion to serve the poorest of the poor and a willingness to work in a low-tech environment. Ability to live in rural and unpredictable conditions required. Must be resilient and adaptable and able to work on a multi-cultural and multi-denominational team. Must be willing to engage in training local health workers.
