Programs Administrative Assistant

Opportunity in North America


The Programs Administrative Assistant (PAA) supports PLI’s programs by performing administrative and office support activities and reports to the Program Director. The PAA’s primary duties include overseeing the management of PLI’s database, communication with clients, tracking and supporting client participation and retention, and providing general office support. The PAA plays a critical role in creating a welcoming culture and supporting the empowering of our clients.


  • Experience with databases
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Google applications
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with staff and volunteers
  • Highly motivated and ambitious individual with creative ideas
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work within diverse groups
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficient
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated commitment to multi-cultural ministry
  • Professional writing skills (i.e. grammar, spelling, formatting, etc.)
  • 2+ years of administrative experience
  • Past experience serving or working with immigrants and refugees
  • Bilingual in any language is preferred
