Radio Program Producer

Opportunity in Southern Africa

Do you have experience writing, recording, editing, and overseeing audio productions? Would you like to use those talents to broadcast the gospel via radio throughout southern Africa and beyond?

Missionaries with TEAM and ZEMA are producing a 30-minute radio program that is currently broadcast in the siSwati language across Swaziland. The program includes a Bible lesson, selections from local amaZioni choirs, and information about attending Zion Bible College. We are working (through a partnership with TWR) to expand this radio ministry to be produced in other southern Africa languages and broadcast throughout the region. Experienced radio production personnel are needed to expand this strategic outreach to the amaZioni.

About Zion Bible College:

Zion Bible College has more than 800 amaZioni pastors and church leaders attending monthly classes in 20 locations around Swaziland. Who are the amaZioni? In 1904, missionaries from Zion, Illinois came to South Africa to share the gospel. After only two years, they were recalled for financial reasons. As a result, many of these new converts reverted to a mix of Christianity, ancestor worship, and African traditional practices. Eighty years later, their numbers had grown to an estimated 12-15 million across much of southern Africa. In 1986, missionaries from Zion felt a responsibility to return and train the amaZioni leaders in the truth of God’s Word, recalling them to true Christian faith. TEAM is partnering with ZEMA (Zion Evangelical Ministries of Africa, to train these church leaders who are hungry for biblical truth. Since the amaZioni still hold a strong allegiance to their founding church in America, they eagerly receive instruction from a multicultural team of ZBC Bible teachers. But we are only scratching the surface. We are overwhelmed with requests to open new schools, but simply do not have the personnel to meet the need. We need more teachers, Bible study facilitators, and support staff. Come join us!
