Refugee Care Team Member

Opportunity in Austria

Description

Team Members use interpersonal skills to help refugees cope with trauma and extreme change, guiding them toward stability by sharing faith in Jesus Christ and giving practical help in a ministry team. Experience in counseling would be helpful. The duration of this role is a minimum of 2 months and up to three years or more.

Requirements

High school diploma required.

Conversational level language skills or higher in one of the following languages: Farsi, Russian, Polish, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish, or Arabic.

An ability to translate on the street, in refugee camp settings, etc. is required.

Learning German may be required depending on the length of stay.

Must have emotional stability.
