The “Silk Road” people are an under-engaged conservative Muslim tribal group of around 50 million that few harvest workers have been able to work among. They live in two unstable countries in Central Asia, as well as a growing diaspora around the world. Recently, a national university in the heartland of this neglected people group has begun to offer courses in the Silk Road language for one to two years.
This is a unique chance for resilient pioneers to join a growing number of young people who are feeling God’s call to engage this resistant people. When you join the university, you will also be joining a small team of those learning the language with you and be mentored by an experienced couple.
The vision is for this intense year of language and culture immersion would equip you for the skills to begin a lifetime of ministry among the Silk Road people in one of several countries worldwide.
