Description
Playing sports is an excellent way to connect with the Thai community and be an intentional Gospel witness. Soccer or basketball players are invited to come join local teams with the intention of building relationships to share the Good News. The ideal person for this role will make friends with teammates and demonstrate Christ-like qualities in sports, taking time to pray with people and invite them to connect with the local body of believers. This person will naturally share his or her faith with new friends and is open to learning the Thai language and culture. The duration of this role ranges from 1 month to 2 years.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Soccer skills would be a great help
- Some experience coaching soccer preferred
- Basketball could possibly be an option
- The ideal person for this role is both a good coach and a good learner
