TEAM’s work in this vast region of Chad seeks to establish an indigenous, culturally sensitive reproducing church of Jesus Christ through incarnational relationship building, community development, education, and healthcare programs.
Given the high poverty rate in Chad, both parents often work, leaving children with much unsupervised time. Additionally, lack of job opportunity and even lacking a sense of hope, many young children and teenagers have little to occupy their time. We seek someone passionate about using sports recreation as a means to develop genuine, incarnational relationships which seek to inspire young individuals and reveal their God-given talents and abilities and ultimately, to reveal hope for here and eternity. We envision the possibility for after-school programs, mentorship relationships stemming from club teams, or a self-inspired sports ministry.
Vibrant and growing relationship with Christ and good prayer life.
At least a one year equivalency of Bible education.
Languages used in this region include Chadian Arabic and French; language learning would be required but level depends on length of service.
