Teacher, Bible Institute (SAM)

Opportunity in Brazil

Description

Since 1995, the Ammi Training Center in Chapada, Brazil, has been building leaders to help build the church among the indigenous peoples of Brazil. The goal of the Indian, Brazilian, and North American teachers is to see a functioning New Testament church in every people group. The center provides Biblical teaching alongside basic living skills such as the Portuguese language, reading, writing, gardening, cooking, mechanics, and the use of computers.

Bible teachers teach courses, disciple students, and participate in life skills alongside indigenous students. Ammi exists to create disciples amongst the indigenous people so that they can go and make disciples among their tribe. Some will become full-time workers and others will go back to their tribe and live a Christian life and represent Jesus among them. The duration of this role ranges from 9 months to 3 years or more.

This opportunity is with TEAM’s ministry partner SAM (South America Mission), an evangelical and interdenominational mission organization with a vision to see the church of Jesus Christ multiplied across South America, transforming local communities and the world by embodying the kingdom of God.
