Description

In northern Chad, TEAM uses avenues such as literacy programs, water and agricultural projects, health programs, and education to establish a positive presence among the people.

We need workers to help run a local Cultural Center in the far north of Chad. You will be teaching English and basic computer skills. The English and computer course material is already provided. The goal of the center is to provide workers with a relevant and meaningful presence in the community as platform for building relationships.

Experienced missionaries already in the town would serve as team leaders and ministry coaches. The town has a small airstrip and hospital.

Job responsibilities include: teaching basic English and computer classes, operating office equipment, possibly helping with accounting

Requirements

Teaching background helpful. Accounting or geology background would be helpful, but not required. No foreign language needed if the worker is coming short term (2-10 months). Otherwise either French or Arabic would be needed. An adventurous spirit is required.
